A Ball of Dung

I think we need to calibrate

the meaning of my message to you.

There is a clear difference in the words.

Lets take an example.

Suppose a busy ant

       pushes a ball of dung

       to the sunny side

       of the ant hill.

And suppose the ant tells the ball of dung

      to stay there

      because it will be nice.

If the ball does stay, it is trust.

Now, if the dung ball

decides that it does not want to stay,

      and lets this be known,

      it is passive resistance.

But if the ball of dung wills

       itself a pair of legs

and walks away, it is active resistance.

The ant, a social animal,

can tolerate trust and active resistance.

Passive resistant is a task undone.

So I say to you:" Stay, trust and shut up,

or get legs and take a walk.
