Half a Glass

 Half A Glass

Half a glass  

         is better than none

         if you thirst for the best of champagne.

And I always see you as

         my glass half full

         instead of half empty.        

The half glass allows

         the bubble to rise

         and pop behind a reflecting wall.

Without the half glass

         how could you dream

         of the full glass?

It seems to me that

         half a glass and a dream

         is better than just a glass of Champagne

Please do not ask me

         if I would have preferred

         the whole bottle half a glass at a time.
