THE FOUNTAIN OF THE SIRENS

Written
2010

Come drink from my magic waters

which will quench you great thirst

for what you are so sure you need.

Feed the deep roots of your

ego so weak and thirsty

and in need of nourishment as it grows.

Some fountains provide perpetual youth,

others cure all that is ailing.

I give you Power with every sip.

I bid you beware, however

for my magic waters are saline and one sip

and you will forever thirst for more.

I am a corrupting fountain

and I share my affliction with

those who buy my magic liquid.

Modest folks pass me by

as they have learned History’s lesson

that I am here for Mephistopheles.
