The Full Cup

 Where is the measure to

      calibrate our love?

The ocean of love I have for you

      is an overwhelming tide.

of gentel waves that daily washes

      the salt and sand.

I can see much love in your eyes.

And your kiss cannot be a lie.

Your caring efforts assure me.

The moon mists we share are welding.

Our world is shared beauty.

Time sings songs to us.

The poets address us personally.

But are these measures of love?

Is love a simple law of supply and demand?

If so, we have greater demand than supply.

And yet,

      I measured our love

       and found it full.

What else need we know?

Is this measure enough for now?

I just knew our love was full.

For there is a measure in the soul.

Not a yardstick, just full knowing.

A full cup needs no measure.

A full cup toast!
